The God of War: A Novel by Marisa Silver
The God of War is a poignant story of young Ares Ramirez who lives with his mother and brother at the edge of the Salton Sea. Ares, named for the Greek god of war, has his own battles to fight as he grows into adulthood. Copies of this lyrical book are available at the library and will be available for sale at our programs. Admission to all of the events is free and open to the public. We are still working on an exciting roster of programs in October (please check back here for the most current details). Sunday, October 3rd (2-4 p.m.) - a book discussion at the library.
Sunday, October 17 (2-4 p.m.) - Marisa Silver, the author, will be speaking at the Hughes Community Center and will sign her books after her talk.
