LIBRARY DISPLAY CASE:
The League of Women Voters of the U.S. celebrates its 90th Anniversary Year! The LOWV presents an educational display in recognition of the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution which prohibits the denial of any citizen the right to vote because of that citizen’s sex. The exhibit will include photos, posters, banners, and books detailing the epic history of women winning the right to vote.

Laurie Gibson presents a lively lecture/workshop designed to inspire aspiring authors and boost their chances of getting published. She’ll show the behind the scenes journey of a manuscript as it becomes a printed book. Bring pen and paper for quick creativity exercises. As an editor, she has worked on projects ranging from “The Color Purple,” to “Tales from
Margaretville,” and taught at UCLA.
